On Groundhog Day, we wait with baited breath to see if Punxsutawney Phil will see his shadow. This silhouette/shadow shape matching game from Confessions of a Homeschooler would be the perfect activity for your preschoolers this February 2nd - not only will they brush up on shape and color recognition, they'll get into the spirit of the day as they make observations and problem solve using silhouettes and shadows!

Find the printable over at Confessions of a Homeschooler! [NOTE: The original worksheets do not offer a black and white "shadow" version of the activity. Trace the shapes onto black construction paper or use computer software to fill the shapes before printing and using if you desire to extend the activity.]

Happy Matching! signature
