First Day of School - Wish Scroll Craft
By Kayla • April 3, 2018
We simply adore this 'wish scroll' craft from Susan over at Making Books Blog! Start the school year off right, on a positive note, inviting your kiddos to write out their goals/wishes for the coming year - i.e. to become a better speller, to read 1 book a month, to make new friends, etc. After they've written their wishes and have had a chance to decorate their wish scrolls, collect and store the finished products. Then, at the end of each quarter or at the end of the year, bring them out for your kiddos to re-read and assess how they've progressed!
Supplies You'll Need
- Art paper
- Markers and other fun writing instruments
- Stickers
- Recycled paper rolls
- Single hole punch
- Yarn
- Craft embellishments
[NOTE: These will turn out larger than the one in the photo. It looks like Susan used a recycled pill bottle and long thing scraps of paper. If you have access to these supplies, it might make storage easier!]
We know your students will have a blast with this project!
