Finger Paint Alternatives

While your preschoolers love finger paint, here are some great alternatives to spice up your activity time!

No Mess Finger Paint

Simply fill a gallon Ziploc bag with craft paint and seal it tightly. This can be a great opportunity to throw in some color theory review (e.g. fill your students' bags with two primary colors and invite them to squish and mash the paint together to create a secondary color). Once the paint is fully mixed, encourage your students to practice writing letters (both upper and lowercase), numbers, and even shapes! Not only will your students be able to review all of these important concepts, these bags are reusable and clean-up is a snap! Pocketful of Posies: Paint in a Bag (Letter Tracing Activity)

No Mess Shaving Cream

The above activity works well with shaving cream and food coloring also. Just fill a gallon Ziploc bag with shaving cream, add a few drops of the desired color, and let your students go to town!
