While your preschoolers may need a bit of help with this activity from Jodi Southard, first grade teacher and creator of Fun in First Grade, we think it would be a fun exercise to do as a class this Easter holiday! Not only will it provide your kiddos with a chance to get creative, it also offers a great opportunity for your students to practice making observations as well as expand their vocabulary.

Supplies You'll Need

While the different textures/colors of the craft embellishments make it easy to make observations by touch and sight, you might consider adding an extra sensory element, providing your kiddos with kool-aid paint with which to decorate their eggs! Check out these different approaches to kool-aid paint for some fun ideas from...

Your kiddos are sure to have a blast decorating their eggs and using Jodi's themed printable to describe their work! Be sure to visit Fun in First for this and lots of other great downloads/resources!
