DIY Magnetic Puzzle
Do your kiddos have problems getting puzzle pieces to stay put? We love this homemade magnetic puzzle idea we found at No Time For Flash Cards - it's the great learning activity minus the frustration!
Supplies You'll Need
- Poster, book cover {copy}, picture, calendar page, recycled cereal box, old greeting cards, etc.
- Adhesive magnetic sheets
- Craft scissors
- Cookie sheet
Create a puzzle for each of the books your students will study during the year. Use a puzzle or two of your kiddos' favorite books to compliment an author study. Have students look for focus sight words in poster or greeting card puzzles. While assembling the puzzle will help students strengthen visual discrimination and problem solving skills, these extra exercise "add-ons" will expand the learning opportunities!
