How cute are these Frankenstein themed activities from Shuna of Pocket Full of Kinders that we found via Top Teacher's Kinderland?! Not only are the printables festive and perfect for spicing up your literacy center for Halloween, they offer a great opportunity for your preschoolers to practice labeling as well as printing/handwriting!

Monster Labeling

This is a great way to review the parts of the body as well as learn to recognize body part vocabulary - head, eyes, nose, etc! Working together or individually, invite students to paste the Frankenstein worksheet into their science journals and 1) write in the correct labels in each box or 2) paste the provided word cards in the proper spot.

Monster Writing

We just love the writing prompt Shuna came up with and think your imaginative preschoolers will have a blast with it too! While you may have to write as your preschoolers dictate, these prompts would make a super cute Halloween hall display. We know parents and colleagues will love reading what happened after your kiddos woke up and realized they were monsters! [NOTE: While you don't want to lead them or stifle their creativity, give your students light and fun examples of how they might complete the prompt, "I woke up as a monster and...ate a truck full of pancakes!", etc. At the preschool level, many of your kiddos might link monsters with destruction or think of them as something to be afraid of and these examples might help them feel more comfortable with the prompt.]
