"This Year Is Going To Be UH-MASON!" Writing Prompt

Focus your kiddos' excitement (and maybe help positively direct some of their anxieties) with this fun writing prompt that invites students to list/write about why the upcoming school year is going to be great! Encourage them to think about the year in terms of what they will learn about, learning goals they will strive to reach, new friendships they will make, etc.
Mounted onto colored construction paper and (perhaps) paired with a fun firefly craft to display with their prompts, this is sure to make an beginning of the year activity/display!
"This Year Is Going To Be UH-MASON!"
- Background: Night sky bulletin board paper. Or, of course, you could simply use navy blue background paper.
- Title: "This Year Is Going To Be UH-MASON!"
- Border: Use complimentary trimmers to create a layered look.
- Decoration: Most of the bulletin board will be used to feature your students' writing prompts (and firefly crafts if you choose to do one). Fill in an blank space with some cutesy fireflies! Either create your own or print/create gorgeous accents using Krista Wallden's fabulous firefly dance digital clip art! {That's what we used to create the writing prompt printable and mirroring the images on the actual bulletin board would add a nice touch!}
