Christian Valentine's Day Bulletin Board Idea

While I {Kayla} haven't had the time to change out my board yet, this is the design I'm planning to create for my Valentine's Day bulletin board at church. I teach a preschool class and thought the big box of chocolates, with each of my preschoolers names scripted on the candies with 'icing', and the heartwarming message would make a great addition to our classroom for the holiday!

Our Little 'Sweets' Belong To Jesus!

  • Background: Pink bulletin board paper.
  • Title: "Our Little 'Sweets' Belong To Jesus!"
  • Border: Valentine's Day themed trimmer or complimentary patterned bulletin board border.
  • Decoration: To create the heart candy box, you'll need four heart cutouts - two large red bulletin board paper hearts of the same size, a slightly smaller heart cut from brown bulletin board paper, and a medium-sized black bulletin board paper heart. Mount the brown heart onto one of the large red hearts and nestle the black heart in the center of the brown heart. This will create an illusion of 'depth' for the bottom of the candy box. Adorn the remaining red heart cutout with a bow cut from maroon bulletin board paper or created using maroon ribbon. Add brown candy/dessert liners to the 'bottom' of the candy box, then fill them with assorted 'candies' {of varying sizes, shapes, shades, and 'flavors'} cut from construction paper and labeled with each of your students' names.
