One Fish, Two Fish! - Dr. Seuss Printable Counting Activity
By Kayla • April 3, 2018
A great addition to your math center plans for Read Across America, this printable exercise will have your kiddos building counting skills and working with numerals 11-20! [Not to mention, it has a fun fish theme that goes great with Seuss' "One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish"!]
Activity preparation...
- Download the activity printables.
- Print each of the large fish bowl cutouts onto card stock of a different color. Cut out the shapes and laminate to reduce wear and tear.
- Print the recording sheet and make copies; one for each student.
- Set out all of the materials, along with crayons, in your math center.
To complete the activity...
Invite students to select a cutout and count the number of fish in the fish bowl. On their recording sheet, have them write the number in the box then color the fish bowl the appropriate color. Have them repeat this process until they've worked through all the fish bowl cutouts and all of the spaces on their recording sheet are filled in.
