Not Your Traditional Easter Egg...
By Kayla β’ April 3, 2018
Teachers are always looking for new and exciting activities to share with their class. If you're bent on creating Easter eggs with your class, but don't relish the mess it will make, here is a great craft submitted to Crafts-For-All-Seasons that your students are sure to enjoy! Because it uses straight pins and takes patience, you should be mindful of your student's age, coordination, and skill level. Pins certainly create safety issues and for a neat, well-planned design your students will be working for close to an hour and a half, so this craft shouldn't be used with grades below middle school level.
Supplies You'll Need
- Foam egg
- Straight pins (1/2 inch)
- Small and large sequins (assorted colors)
- Clear seed beads
- Ribbon
- Scissors for children
This is a great activity for students to learn about patterns and complimentary colors as they decorate their eggs with rows of sequins and ribbon. Be sure to check out the full post for informative pictures and instructions on how to create this non-traditional Easter egg!
