By Kayla • April 3, 2018

If you and your preschoolers are planning to or currently enjoying a spring gardening unit, this vegetable themed early reader created by Carisa of 1+1+1=1 would make a fabulous addition to your lesson plans! Jam-packed with sight words (I, all, of, eat, my), themed vocabulary, and colorful images that will help your kiddos make text-picture connections, we know your preschoolers will have a great time reading this booklet individually, to a friend, or even to family members!
As an introductory activity, you might consider turning the booklet into a shared reading experience using a poster board or pocket chart, word cards, and colorful pictures.
