Hunting for Spider Webs

While showing your students pictures of spider webs can provide an up-close look at the amazing detail that goes into creating webs, there's nothing like putting on your coat and shoes and going for a spider web hunt to see them in person! Before you explore, talk about where you might find spider webs, what kind of spiders can be found in your area, and predict how many spider webs you expect to find. After your adventure, invite your students complete a page in their science journal (like the example prompt below} to record the day's exploration...
