God Is Wild About Us! - VBS & Sunday School Bulletin Board Idea

By Kayla • April 3, 2018

{Since we helped out with vacation bible school this week at church, we thought we'd share some VBS/Sunday school board ideas! ...Which can, of course, be tailored to fit other classrooms and learning centers as well!}

Sunday School or Vacation Bible School Bulletin Board Idea

Check out this "wild" door idea! Perfect for a jungle or safari classroom theme, it will remind your students how much God cares for them {and provide a fun craft for them to participate in!}.

"God Is Wild About Us!" Bulletin Board

  • Background: For a safari theme, consider using a dark yellow or 'autumn gold' background paper (reminiscent of the dusty/sandy spaces). If you're leaning toward a jungle theme, try a complimentary shade of green!
  • Title: "God Is Wild About Us!"  {For a school setting you might try, "We Are Wild About ________________ [Kindergarten, Space, Language Arts, etc]!" or "Mrs. Nelson Is Wild About Room 203!", etc.} We chose to highlight "WILD" by using zebra print lettering for the safari theme and leopard print lettering for the jungle theme!
  • Border: None needed. {Although, if you're doing a jungle theme, it could be cute to add vines/leaves around the edge. Fine some silk leaf garlands at your local craft store or create your own by twisting long pieces of brown bulletin board paper and adding green leaf cutouts to the "vines".}
  • Decoration: Fill the space on the board with animal crafts made by your kiddos! For a safari, have your students make lions {like one of these fun lion crafts from Danielle's Place}, giraffes, elephants, or another safari animal. For a jungle theme, consider having your students make pandas {like these adorable pop can pandas from Danielle's Place}, monkeys, colorful toucans, or another jungle animal. Or, of course, a combination of themed animals!
