How cute is this "Christmas Around the World" geography lesson idea from Diane of Teach With Me?! You can get the complete lesson kit for FREE on her website or use it as inspiration for your own unit. Your kiddos will love that the lesson starts with making passports, tickets, and suitcases for the journey ahead...

Select three or four different locations for your kinders to "visit", finding a map and flag for your kiddos to color, as well as researching how the people in each culture celebrate Christmas - the food they eat, the decorations they make, the stories they tell, etc. The cereal box suitcases make a great place to store the souvenirs, crafts, information cards, and other items they collect along the way!

This unit is a fabulous way to build awareness of other cultures, countries, and traditions!
