Complimenting an Olympics/sports theme, this birthday display from Cheryl over at Birthday Bulletin Board Ideas offers a simple, yet colorful way to celebrate the stars in your classroom!

Gold Medal Birthdays

  • Background: White bulletin board paper.
  • Title: "Gold Medal Birthdays!"
  • Border: Patriotic bulletin board border.
  • Decoration: 1) The Olympic Rings. Cut ring shapes from scraps of blue, yellow, black, green, and red background paper - we suggest tracing serving bowls or household buckets - attaching the rings, in sequence, to the middle of the board. 2) The Olympic Gold Medals. Cut medium circles from yellow construction paper or gold scrapbook paper, writing student names and birthdays on the front of each. Finally, cut lengths of red, white, and blue striped ribbon, tying a length to each medal and arrange them around the rings on the board.
