BEE A Buddy, Not A Bully! - Bullying Prevention Bulletin Board Idea

By Kayla • April 3, 2018

{October is National Bullying Prevention Month so we thought we'd bring you some different designs that you could use in your classroom or even school-wide!}

Bullying Prevention Bulletin Board Idea Simple to put together and with an important reminder for your students, this bee themed bulletin board opens up a great opportunity for introducing and discussing this important topic with your kiddos! While the original design features pre-fab bee cutouts, you might also consider a more hands-on approach, having your students craft their own bees for the board.

Bee Crafts for Kids

There are lots of bee crafts floating around on Pinterest. Here are a few of our favorites!

Hand print bee via Jaime of What's The Buzz in First?

Footprint bee via Beth of Diapers to Diplomas

Paper plate bee via Julie of Happy Home Fairy

Construction paper bee via Kacey of Doodle Bugs Teaching [NOTE: She actually provides the template - for FREE - at her TeachersPayTeachers store!]

BEE A Buddy, Not A Bully!

  • Background: Purple bulletin board paper (or another complimentary color of your choice).
  • Title: "BEE A Buddy, Not A Bully!" - We thought it might be cute to set the title apart from the rest of the board, creating a honeycomb from yellow construction paper hexagons to accent the letters!
  • Border: Complimentary patterned trimmer.
  • Decoration: As they pledge to be buddies, not bullies, have your kiddos place their bee crafts (or purchased bee cutouts) around the bulletin board!
