Columbus Day Reading Preschool Lesson Plan

Kick off your Columbus Day lessons by getting to know a little bit more about the explorer behind the day – Christopher Columbus! We love this chart Erin over at Eberhart's Explorers and her kinders completed; first recording what they knew about Columbus – using the clip art picture as a reference to determine what may be true since many of them may not have encountered the historical figure – and then returning to record what they'd learned after exploring both a video and audio book about Christopher Columbus. The best part is Erin provides her chart labels for free so you can create your own chart with your preschoolers!

For the chart download and a great Columbus Day craftivity – among other fabulous learning ideas – be sure to visit Eberhart's Explorers!
