This adorable Thanksgiving activity from Marlana over at Lil' Country Kindergarten offers a great opportunity for taking a closer look at the Mayflower - what it looked like and what it might have been like to live on the ship - as well as provides your kiddos with some festive labeling practice!

The Mayflower

Boats are decidedly fascinating so, as you take your preschoolers on the adventure from England to the New World and the first Thanksgiving, be sure to include a lesson about the Mayflower! Scholastic has created an awesome resource that will help you and your kiddos learn what it was like to live on a 17th-century sailing vessel - even offering an interactive tour of the Mayflower - and there are several great children's books to add to your learning resources as well; ...If You Sailed on the Mayflower in 1620 by Ann McGovern, On the Mayflower by Kate Waters, among others!

Marlana's anchor chart and labeling worksheet offer a great supplement to your lesson on the Mayflower. Be sure to visit Lil' Country Kindergarten for the download!
