"Orange Pumpkin Orange Pumpkin..." Fall Emergent Reader FREEBIE!
By Kayla • April 3, 2018

Following the model of Eric Carle's classic children's tale Brown Bear Brown Bear, Kathy over at First Grade a la Carte put together this awesome fall themed emergent reader for her kiddos - and shares it for FREE over at her blog! Featuring orange pumpkins, purple bats, and brown owls, among other great fall themed things, the simple repetitive text (especially repetitive text they've already come into contact with!), is sure to give your early readers confidence!

You can grab a copy of the full reader with clip art. Additionally, Kathy provides story strips + black and white clipart images that students can use to practice matching/sequencing, then create their own booklet. [NOTE: You could also simply provide your students with the story strips and have them create booklets with their own illustrations!]
To grab your own copy of this awesome freebie, be sure to visit First Grade a la Carte!
