Easy Mother's Day Craft

Simple and sweet, these kid-made button pendants shared by Allison of No Time For Flash Cards make a great gift for Mother's Day! You'll have to visit Allison's website for the full tutorial, but here are a few crafting suggestions/ideas...

  • Play around with the look of the pendants simply by using another material in place of the buttons - seashells, beads, neon straws (cut into pieces), dyed pasta/rice, sequins, etc.
  • For a more finished look, spray paint the lids before your kiddos decorate them!
  • Instead of a piece of ribbon or cording, attach a brooch pin to the back of the lid to create a colorful pin.
  • Use smaller lids (like those from a Snapple drink bottle) and earring posts/backs to create matching earrings!
