Read Across America Seuss Inspired Interactive Emergent Reader Printable

Here's another fun activity for your Read Across America plans, inspired by this lovely shared reading activity from Kristin over at I3: Imagine. Inspire. Innovate., that offers a great opportunity for working with simple sight words as well as vowel teams!

What's great about this exercise is that students can complete the booklet in various ways;

    • Use a pencil or their favorite writing tool to print the letters in each box.

Upper Case Alphabet Stamps

    • Use letter stamps to build the word.

Example Build the Word

  • Cut and paste letter blocks to build the word.
  • Etcetera!

With the text complete, students can also illustrate the booklet - creating picture clues to help with future readings!
