Columbus Day Reader
By Kayla • April 3, 2018
A week from today - on Monday, October 8th - we celebrate Columbus Day. If you're planning to share some special activities and crafts with your students, we suggest incorporating this cute emergent reader created by Cherry Carl over at Carl's Corner. Along with colorful graphics, the printable booklet includes several lines of the familiar Christopher Columbus/"In 1492" poem. Sharing these with your students, they'll learn a little bit more about Columbus' fateful voyage and also have something to take home to share with their families!
If you want a full version of the poem to read to your kiddos, check out these resources:
- 1492 Poem from Teaching Heart {words only}
- Christopher Columbus Poem {pictures and words}
For this colorful reader, be sure to visit Carl's Corner for the download!
