Additionally, encourage them to line up the edges of the paper carefully. Next, fold the square diagonally, marking the paper with a crease (it will look like a triangle). Open the paper and complete the same procedure on the opposite diagonal. After creasing the paper, open it up and lay the marked square flat.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eUse scissors to cut two-thirds of the way to the center of the marked lines. Be careful not to cut too close to the center. Place a dab of glue all around the center of the paper and fold, without creasing, alternating  corners to the center of the pinwheel. Attach the toothpick and skewer ends together using the rubber band. The toothpick should be at the top, perpendicular to the skewer. Add two separator beads, push the toothpick through the center of the pinwheel from the back, and glue another bead at the end of the toothpick.
