If you don't have wooden shapes, consider creating the entire activity from craft foam. It's simple really - print and laminate activity mats with hat shapes on them, then invite you students to use red play dough to roll out and create stripes! We love it and we know that preschoolers love any excuse to play with play dough! [NOTE: You might consider adding a counting component - scripting or printing a different numeral at the top of each hat and inviting students to create the appropriate number of stripes.]\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eRhyming with Green Eggs \u0026amp; Ham\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eDr. Seuss inspires a lot of rhyming activities. Jessica used green eggs and ham as her theme, creating egg and ham cutouts and attaching pictures of rhyming pairs to them. To play the game, she invited her students to match each ham cutout to it's rhyming egg cutout!
