Indoor Games for Parties or Bad Weather Days!
Perusing Amy's posts at The Idea Room, we discovered that felt can be a magical crafting material and provide your kinders with hours of indoor fun - specifically when used to bring outdoor games inside! As we head into the winter and holiday season, you might just want to put one or two of these game ideas on your crafting to-do list. They would make great party activities or simply provide your kiddos with a way to "get their wiggles out" when it's too gross to go outside!
Check out this awesome hopscotch mat! The mat itself is made from canvas so it's super durable and the whole activity folds up neatly for storage. What a fabulous way to help your kiddos review numbers, learn about sequencing, and strengthen gross motor coordination!
We love this fabulous floor bean bag "darts" game. Students stand at a predetermined start line and toss felt bean bags {with fun fringed tops} onto the play mat to earn points. This is a fantastic way to provide your kiddos with number and addition practice, as well as build gross motor control!
[NOTE: To make these into party games, simply use felt in the color scheme of the holiday. For Halloween, alternate black, orange, purple, and lime green. For Thanksgiving, try orange, yellow, tan, and brown. And, for Christmas, use red, dark green, and lime green! You get the picture...]
