"Ape"aling Jungle Themed Bulletin Boards for the Classroom!
Third grade teacher, Denisse Lopez, recently submitted her adorable jungle themed bulletin boards created for the new school year and we just love the cutesy animals, clever title, and fun three-dimensional borders reminiscent of jungle vines!
What An "APE"aling Group of 3rd Graders!
Not only is this design super cute and eye-catching, we love that it's also pretty simple to put together! Begin by covering your board with light green background paper, then scrunch up/twist long strips of brown bulletin board to arrange around the edges of the board and add large jungle leaf cutouts (cut from various shades of green construction paper) to the brown paper vine. Create your own banana cutouts, downloading and printing a banana template onto yellow construction paper, or purchase banana accents from your favorite teacher supply store. Write a student's name on each banana cutout, then arrange the shapes into 'bunches' on the bulletin board. [NOTE: When placing the jungle leaves along the border, make sure to clump some together at the top as a nice transition for your banana bunches!] The final touches are the title, created using simple blue or purple bulletin board letters, and the monkey cutouts to help fill any empty space. We suggest free-handing the accents or finding some cute monkey clip art online that can be enlarged and traced using your classroom projector system. Of course, you can always purchase silly monkey accents!
The Rules of the Jungle
Again, what we love about this board is that it's cute and simple! Royal blue bulletin board paper. Strips of green bulletin board paper scrunched and twisted around the edge of the board. Large construction paper leaf cutouts placed sporadically along the green border. Computer generated signs featuring rules and expectations. The only accents that will take a moderate amount of time to make are the adorable jungle animal cutouts! We, again, suggest that you find some cute clip art online to enlarge, trace, color, and cut!
