Apple Poetry & Sequencing

Back To School and Fall Sequencing Kindergarten Lesson Plan

The last activity {but certainly not least!} in our apple activity round-up for fall and/or Johnny Appleseed Day, is this super cute exercise from {where else?} Deanna Jump over at Mrs. Jump's Class! Combining a cutesy poem with crafting and sequencing practice, we know this craftivity will be a hit with your kinders.

Some considerations...

  • For younger students, find black and white clip art online, printing the images for each step in the sequence onto colored construction paper and inviting your kiddos to cut them out.
  • Add a handwriting component, using a tracing font to create the poem labels and inviting your kinders to trace the words. [NOTE: Of course cutting their own page labels builds scissor skills, but if you're looking for something quicker, mailing labels would be easy to print, peel, and stick!]

For this craftivity - and all of Deanna's teaching genius! - be sure to visit Mrs. Jump's Class!
