Do you ever find yourself in the middle of a unit and realize that straight memorization and writing becomes somewhat monotonous, boring...your kiddos are all of a sudden staring back at you with cute little completely blank faces? Take a break from the monotony with a craftivity - designed to engage and inform and provide a little fun in the process!

Traci of Dragonflies in First knew her kiddos needed a break in the middle of their weather unit, so she came up with this cleaver cloud craftivity. Everything her students need to know about the different types of clouds wrapped up into an engaging activity. Traci even provides the printables you will need to complete the craftivity here!

The Amazing World of Clouds

Start with 3 1/2 pieces of construction paper layered and staggered about an inch. Then fold in half to create the booklet and staple together. Traci's class used blue (1) and gray (2) - perfect for an activity about clouds! - but any colors will do. Then, have your students glue the printed title to the top and label each section accordingly with crayon or marker.

The booklet is broken down into the following 5 sections (students are provided a printed definition to glue on for each section and cotton balls for demonstrating the look of each type of cloud):
