Teachers! Able to Leap into our Hearts in a Single Bound! - Teacher Appreciation Display
No doubt about it, Lori Z. over at Mud Pie Studio has decorating super powers! Last week was Teacher Appreciation Week and, being part of the PTA, Lori set out to not only organize awesome activities for students and teachers, but also create some fun and creative displays to honor their very own community superheroes - the vibrant and engaging teachers who shape young minds and lives!
Tuesday was "Superhero Day" and both superheros (teachers) and sidekicks (students) showed up to some extra special hallway decor...
Customized Superhero Logos
Using each teacher's initial, Lori created a customized superhero logo, inserting the new letter into the Superman logo, and attached the completed logos to each teacher's door. To go along with the logo, Lori added several of the teacher's most amazing super powers to the colorful sign. What a fun surprise!
Our Halls Are Bursting with Super Powers
Along with the customized superhero logos, Lori also created colorful signs listing all of the incredible super powers teachers possess and covered the hallway walls with the bright signs! We're sure the teachers had a blast reading each and every one!
The grand finale of Lori's dazzling decorating feats were two bulletin boards - artfully designed and created! The first board, a beautiful cityscape silhouette, is simple but packs a visual punch!
Teachers! Able to Leap into our Hearts in a Single Bound!
- Background: Yellow bulletin board paper.
- Title: "Teachers! Able to Leap into our Hearts in a Single Bound!" - If they're small enough, even with the long title, we think you could get away with regular bulletin board letters. However, we also like the computer generated signs that Lori used! You might search for a free comic book font (FontSpace has quite a few) and, used with word processing software, create your own title.
- Border: None needed.
- Decoration: We love the simplicity of the board + use of contrasting colors! You can freehand the cityscape or simply find an image online that you can enlarge and trace onto black background paper. Once the silhouette is traced, cut out, and attached along the bottom half of the board, Lori suggests using simple white acrylic paint to add random windows to the cutout. Easy peasy, right?!
Tomorrow we'll feature her other bulletin board display! You don't want to miss it!
