Looking for some fun summer activities to do with your kiddos? Check out these awesome ocean/beach themed ideas from Michelle over at The Nature of Grace!

Don't have access to a beach or sandbox? No problem! Michelle shows you how to create a simple sand 'bin' for your preschoolers to explore - making sand castles, digging for buried treasure, etc. Along with sandy sensory play {a must when discussing oceans and beaches!}, Michelle and her kiddos explored seashell math facts, created an ocean in a bottle, discovered 'buried treasure' vocabulary/sight words, and crafted tons of fabulous beach themed art and food projects!

[NOTE: The seashell math facts jogged our memory; similar to salt writing, placing a layer of sand on a baking tray offers a great surface for writing and letter practice!]

For the full lesson - a must for the summer - be sure to visit The Nature of Grace!
