Following this line of thinking, when stumbled across the adorable groundhog pencil topper craft, pictured above, over at Crafts Ideas we thought it might be a fun way to get your students excited about learning this Groundhog Day! If you're planning to incorporate the project into craft time, we suggest using it with elementary+ age students. The coiling and cutting might be a bit advanced for preschool and kindergarten aged children. However, we're certain they'd be tickled to find one of these fuzzy characters on their desk so, if you have the time, this could make a cute gift {and silly way to get your kiddos excited about writing/digging into their lessons!}.
