Happy, Happy Everything! - Spring Bulletin Board Idea
The teachers at McKinley Early Childhood Center show that even the infants can get in on the decorating fun with this festive spring board that features traced hand print flowers!
Hand Print Flower Craft
The concept is super simple and can be done with children of any age! Simply provide your crafters with construction paper and a pencil, inviting them to trace their hand eight or nine times and cut out the traced prints. The hand print cutouts can then be arranged in a circle and glued together to create the 'petals', then finished off with a yellow construction paper circle in the center of the petals and a green construction paper stem.
[NOTE: For the youngest crafters, you'll have to do the tracing, cutting, and assembling, but the results make great keepsakes for parents once you're done using them as decorations!]
Happy, Happy Everything!
- Background: Light blue bulletin board paper. Add a jumbo grass border to the bottom or a strip of green bulletin board paper fringed along the top to look like grass.
- Title: "Happy Easter, Happy Spring, Happy, Happy Everything!"
- Border: Spring themed trimmer.
- Decoration: Arrange your students' flower crafts in the grass and add simple bug accents in the empty space! Either create the bug accents from construction paper or purchase pre-made accents from your favorite teacher store.
