2 Fun Fall Math and Literacy FREEbies!

We're always on the lookout for fun fall freebies and we loved these activities from Faith over at 1st Grade Fantabulous!

Apple Graphing

Perfect for your fall math center (or perhaps as part of your Johnny Appleseed lesson plans), students are first invited to follow the code to color the apple shapes on the worksheet, then graph and analyze the results. What we love about this activity is that it is self-contained, meaning all students need to complete it is the printed worksheet and crayons!

October Themed Book Report

A great way to encourage your students to read, these simple book report pages invite students to record all of the pertinent details of their reading selection, write about their favorite part of the book, and rate the book for their fellow classmates (great, okay, or not great). Kept in the literacy or writing center, students can complete the book reports at their own pace and perhaps, as an incentive to read more/complete more of the reports, you might consider providing a small reward (sit by a friend for a day, a small piece of candy, etc.) for reaching a specific reading goal/turning in quality reports.
