It's Rhyme Time! - Nursery Rhyme Bulletin Board

Nursery Rhyme Bulletin Board Idea

Did you know that May 1st is Mother Goose Day? That makes May the perfect time of year for a nursery rhyme unit! And, if you need a super simple change in decor to go along with your theme, the design above is colorful and doubles as a way to introduce all of the different rhymes you and your kiddos will be exploring during the unit. [Simply print the names of the rhymes on the book accents and, perhaps, add a story accent created with laminated clip art images or coloring pages!]

Instead of the book accents, you could also use these cute posters from PreKinders!

It's Rhyme Time!

  • Background: Bright blue bulletin board paper.
  • Title: "It's Rhyme Time!"
  • Border: Complimentary pattered/colored bulletin board border.
  • Decoration: The simple design makes use of Carson Dellosa's cozy reading center bulletin board set and Scholastic teaching resources' book accents. The purchased elements make decorating this board a snap, but you can also create your own if desired. We would suggest finding a clip art image online (of a child, animal, etc. reading a book) to enlarge and trace onto white background paper. Additionally, we suggest finding a book image to print onto construction paper of assorted colors. [NOTE: It might be cool to find the image of an open book - printing the name of the nursery rhyme on one side and drawing or pasting clip art images of the rhyme on the other side.]
